The quote “Communication - the human connection - is the key to personal and career success” by Paul Meyer summarizes my significant conclusion from the course, LABU2060. I learned that business success comes through effective communication and the ability to convey your message through different channels. Through this course, I enhanced my language and communication skills in the context of business situations. After undertaking several different tasks including a job interview, business pitch presentation, and business plan writing, the course helped me develop a comprehensive understanding of engaging with the stakeholders of a business. 

The job interviews prepared me to face real-world scenarios encountered when applying for internships or jobs while the CV building lessons allowed me to convey my skills and achievements into a resume to attract hiring managers. Furthermore, the business pitch presentation helped me develop my delivery and language skills and make effective business decisions through analysis and critical thinking. Moreover, the business plan writing allowed me to use persuasive language to engage my readers and communicate with them. It further enabled me to make my writing concise and summarize them to propose relevant solutions to influence business decisions.

Lastly, my team working skills greatly improved as I had to deal with a situation I never dealt with before and it encouraged me to communicate effectively with my teammates and improve my leadership skills to complete our tasks. Although the journey did not go well, I learned from this experience to make the greatest possible outcome of the situation and do my best to become a professional businessman.
